Wake up – KAYZO, Riot

This is a typical brostep track, which is a branch of Dubstep in EDM (Electronic Dance Music) and is often confused with Dubstep. As a brostep track, it is characterized by a more active mood, a more flamboyant tone, and a more jumpy sound. When brostep first came out, it received a lot of disparaging comments from UK dubstep DJs, who felt that this type of dubstep was no longer orthodox. Luckily, brostep has swept the globe and squashed this discrimination, and the impact is evident.

The track Wake up has many obvious Brostep characteristics. It opens with a rhythmic monotone and a constant vocalchip that emphasizes its boldness and naturalness. Each note is extremely bouncy and comfortable to listen to. The middle uses a repetitive vocal section with synthesizers as a transition, which is extremely catchy. The climax that follows is extremely rhythmic, with a mix of different tones, and the interspersed vocal 'wake up' is just right. The different tones over and over again in the latter part of the track highlights brostep's eclectic approach to this area, which is interesting. The chorus is repeated over and over again until the final chorus, and the beat is unrelenting. The electronic remix of a couple of drums is also highly distinctive. It eventually fades out slowly, ending the song with the same melody and sound as the beginning, echoing back and forth. It's a good track overall, and if you want to get into brostep, you might want to listen to it in addition to some of the founding fathers like Skrillex.
